Connect Nextcloud Talk to WorkTracker
Chat rooms grouped into conversations, self-hosted.
What you need
- A Nextcloud server with the Talk app.
Setup
Create an app password
In Nextcloud open Settings → Security → Devices & sessions, name a new app password (e.g. worktracker) and copy it.
Fill in the Talk card
In Connections → Nextcloud Talk enter the server URL (https://cloud.example.com), your username and the app password. Several servers can be connected side by side.
Sync
Run a sync — your conversations appear as grouped work items.
What WorkTracker collects
- Your own messages per room, grouped into time-clustered conversations.
- Message text is read transiently for AI summaries — never stored.
The app password can be revoked in Nextcloud at any time; message text never persists in WorkTracker. Credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown again or returned by the API.
