Connect Jira to WorkTracker

Issue activity as work items in your day.

What you need

• A Jira Cloud site (yourcompany.atlassian.net) and an Atlassian account.

Setup

1. Create an API token

   Go to id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens and click “Create API token”. Name it (e.g. worktracker) and copy it.

2. Fill in the Jira card

   In Connections → Jira enter your site URL (https://yourcompany.atlassian.net), your Atlassian account email and the token.

3. Sync

   Run a sync — issues you touched appear as work items.

What WorkTracker collects

• Issues you worked on (status changes, comments, assignments) as zero-duration work items.

Read-only API access with your own account; WorkTracker never changes issues. Credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown again or returned by the API.

Troubleshooting

401/403 after saving

The site URL must be the full origin (https://yourcompany.atlassian.net, no path), and the email must be the Atlassian account the token belongs to.
