Connect Azure DevOps to WorkTracker
Boards activity and git history from your organizations.
What you need
- An Azure DevOps organization (dev.azure.com/yourorg).
Setup
Create a personal access token
In Azure DevOps click User settings (top right) → Personal access tokens → New Token. Scopes: Work Items (Read) and Code (Read).
Fill in the Azure DevOps card
In Connections → Azure DevOps enter the organization URL (https://dev.azure.com/yourorg), a label, and the token. If your commit author email differs from your account, set the optional email override.
Sync
Run a sync — board activity and grouped commits appear.
What WorkTracker collects
- Work items you changed, one item per ticket and day with its state transitions.
- Your commits (grouped per repository and piece of work) and pull requests.
Read-only scopes; only your own activity is matched and fetched. Credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown again or returned by the API.
Troubleshooting
- Connection test fails immediately
- A wrong or expired PAT: Azure DevOps answers with a sign-in page (status 203) instead of an API error. Create a fresh token with the two read scopes.
